During this collaborative interactive video conference project, students in grades four through six will practice reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, listening, and speaking skills. They will work in groups to create their own Mad Libs stories to share with a partner class via video conference. * Mad Libs is a phrasal template word game where one player prompts another for a list of words to substitute for blanks in a story. These word substitutions have a humorous effect when the resulting story is then read aloud. The classes will connect through video conference and each group will ask for the parts of speech missing in the stories. Then they read the stories aloud with the words offered by the partner class.
